Genesis:
The Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering was established in the Academic year 1999-2000 is offering B.Tech. in Computer Science and Systems Engineering (CSSE) with an annual intake of 40. The intake was increased to 60 in the academic year 2002-2003 and subsequently to 120 in the Academic year 2012-2013. The B.Tech (CSSE) program was Re-accredited (second cycle of Accreditation) by NBA for Three years (01.07.2020 to 30.06.2023). The department is also offering B.Tech. Computer Science and Business Systems from the AY 2020-2021 with an intake of 60 and B.Tech. Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) from the AY 2021-2022 with an intake of 60.
The Department is headed by Dr. A. Balasubramani, who has over two decades of Teaching and 1 year of Industry experience. He got his M.Tech Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Central University, Pondicherry and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He has published 4 research papers in reputed International journals. His areas of expertise are Steganography, Operating Systems and Artificial Intelligence.

VISION
To become a center of excellence in Computer Sciences and Systems Engineering through teaching, training, research and innovation to produce quality engineering professionals who can solve the growing complex problems of the society and Industry.
MISSION
- Established with the cause of development of technical education in advanced computer sciences and engineering with applications to systems there by serving the society and
- Transfer of Knowledge through contemporary curriculum and fostering faculty and student
- Create keen interest for research and innovation among students and faculty by understanding the needs of the society and
- Skill development among diversity of students in technical domains and profession for development of systems and processes to meet the demands of the industry and research.
- Imbibing values and ethics in students for prospective and promising engineering profession and develop a sense of respect for
PHILOSOPHY
The Department of Computer Science and Systems Engineering believes that the students of the program have to make quantitative predictions and effects of the Software Systems they deliver. It is understood here as a well thought-out mix of social cause with scientific and technological interventions. Hence it’s our humble endeavor to train students holistically in designing innovative Software.
