GENERAL DESCRIPTION
SVEC promotes exclusive career counseling through guidance lectures delivered by senior corporate personnel and by the just placed senior students of the college who can rightfully inspire the young minds. The college organizes campus interviews for final year students of all disciplines with industries and business houses of repute from all over India. Each of the students at SVEC undergo mock interviews inclusive of aptitude tests, group discussions, alongside test performance in Technical and HR interviews guided by professional trainers.
OBJECTIVES
- To organize campus interviews for final year students with industries and business houses of repute from all over India.
- To prepare students to face campus interviews and enhance their employability skills in their respective domain areas through expert lectures / workshops / seminars etc.
- Organize Industrial visits and In-Plant training.
- Arrange final semester projects for the students and internships.
- Career counseling by organizing guidance lectures by experts / senior corporate personnel in their respective domains and core areas.
DREAM OFFER
SVEC’s Dream Offer option gives all the goodies for already placed students with two additional placement opportunities in IT / ITES / Manufacturing / Product development etc. companies. The college has so far produced master minds hired by elite companies like WIPRO, Cognizant, Capgemini, CGI, ADP, CDK Global, Bosch, Hyundai (R &D), Hyundai Mobis, Redpine Signals, IBM, Infosys, Microsoft, Saint-Gobain, Schneider Electric, Samsung (R &D), Amazon, Embedur etc., through the “Dream Offer”.
PLACEMENT CONSORTIUM
Creating social outreach, SVEC’s Placement Consortium helps engineering and science students of other colleges in Rayalaseema Region who have benefitted immensely by getting opportunities for elite corporate companies like WIPRO, TCS, Cognizant, Capgemini, CGI, Deloitte, GGK Tech, Tech Mahindra, Sonata Software, Mphasis, etc. who have selected deserving students through the recruitment drives conducted by SVEC consortium.
SVEC also help in organizing pool campus recruitment process for MBA / M.Sc. /
M.Pharmacy / B.Pharmacy / M.Sc / B.Sc. / BCA / B.Com etc. students of other nearby colleges giving them an opportunity to get job offers.

Training Services
The Placement and Training (PAT) centre plays a vital role in creating the memorable placement record of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College. It ensures smooth functioning of the placement activities in the campus. The centre facilitates training activities of the students and makes sure they get placed in Product and Service based companies which are of National/International.
Objectives:
- To get ready students to face campus interviews by arranging Campus Recruitment Training and Mock interviews through Professional trainers and enhance their employability skills in their respective domain areas through expert lectures / workshops / seminars etc.
- To promote career counseling by organizing guidance lectures by leading corporate personnel and arranging interactive sessions by the immediately placed senior students cultivate peer-learning.
- To promote the students who desired to pursue Higher education in IITs & NITs through GATE, weekend training classes through professional trainers will be organized.
PLACEMENT POLICY & RULES
- Students who are placed in a company, having a package below 3 Lakhs will be permitted to participate in placement drives only for those companies that are providing an annual package of 4 Lakhs and above.
- Students who are placed in a company, having a package between 3 Lakhs and 4 Lakhs will be permitted to participate in placement drives only for those companies that are providing an annual package of 5 Lakhs and above.
- Students who are placed in a company, having a package above 4 Lakhs will be permitted to participate in placement drives for companies that are providing an annual package of 5.5 Lakhs and above.
- Placed students will be permitted to attend placement drives in other companies regardless of amount of package and domain of the company, only when 70% students in their respective branches are placed.
- It is not mandatory for a candidate who willingly decides not to participate in any placement drive to attend the drive; however the T&P Cell will not take any responsibility for it.
*Note
- If any company offers a package of 7 LPA or higher, then all candidates whether placed or unplaced will be permitted to participate in the campus recruitment drive.
- It is mandatory for all eligible students (including those who have already secured placements) to participate in ‘on-campus’ recruitment drive.
- It is mandatory for all eligible students (including those who have already secured placements) to participate in ‘on-campus’ recruitment drives (Core/P.S.U./I.T.)
*Note
- The fore mentioned criterion are not applicable for any P.S.U. All eligible students may participate.
- Black dotted students will be allowed to participate in P.S.U. recruitments and other recruitments only upon special permission by the Faculty in-charge-T&P.
- If any candidate submits his/her willingness to participate in any on campus or off campus placement recruitment drive and thereby fails to present himself/herself on the day of the pre-placement talk (PPT), then he/she is likely to be blacklisted** from the training & Placement.
- If any candidate is blacklisted from the Training & Placement Cell, then he/she will not be allowed to participate in any of the placement drives throughout the academic year.
Relating to Code of Conduct:
- Training & Placement Student coordinators only hold the sole right to deal with Training & Placement matters (Internal or External).
- Only with the special permission of the Training & Placement officer any other student may deal with Training & Placement matters.
- All post job-offer communication between student and company should be channelized through the placement cell.
- Direct communications with the company officials is not allowed.
- It is mandatory for the students to register in the company to participate in the placement process of the company.
- Attendance in PPT is mandatory after registration, to be eligible for further placement process.
- Students proceeding after the PPT for the next step in the selection process of the company cannot quit in between. If a student quits in between, then he/she will be debarred and will not be allowed to appear in any other further placement event.
- Any kind of misbehavior/complaints reported by the company officials will be taken seriously and if proven, the student will be debarred from future campus placements/Blacklisted**.
Relating to General Rules:
- All students are responsible to stay in constant touch with Training & Placement Coordinators for details and updates regarding Placement Matters.
- It is mandatory for all black dotted students to participate in all the on-campus placement drives (Core/I.T./P.S.U.).
- Any Black Dotted student if fails to participate in any on-campus placement recruitment drive (Core/I.T./P.S.U.) will be blacklisted** from the Training & Placement Cell.
Relating to Placement Guidelines:
- The role of T&P (Training & Placement) Cell is a facilitator for placement related activities. T&P does not guarantee a job.
- The Placement facility is available to all the students registered with T&P Cell through the policy ONE JOB TO ONE STUDENT AT THE FIRST INSTANCE. This will ensure that every student will get equal job opportunities and only few students do not consume up all the jobs.
- Any student against whom show cause notice/warning letter have been issued; will not be allowed to appear in campus Recruitment. The students are required to submit a certificate showing their academic performance as well as satisfactory conduct in the institute/hostel signed by all concerned department faculties & wardens to the faculty In-Charge Training & Placement for further consideration.
- Any negative remark in this regard made by any faculty or warden against any student will make him/her ineligible for the entire campus placement process. Besides, any student against whom more than one warning letter is issued will not be allowed to appear in campus interview.
- If a student is placed in any of the P.S.U’s, then the placement is over for him/her.
- All students must keep their identity card with them at the time of PPT/Written Test/GD/PI and produce the same when demanded by the visiting team or T&P Cell Staff.
*Black Dotted:
A candidate is Black-Dotted if he/she remains unselected and willingly decides not to participate in any off-campus Placement drive (Core/I.T./P.S.U.)
*Blacklisted: A candidate is blacklisted if:
- The candidate submits his/her willingness to participate in any on-campus or off-campus placement recruitment drive and thereby fails to present himself/herself on the day of the placement talk (PPT)
- Any kind of misbehavior/complaints are reported by the company officials/T&P Cell Staff regarding the candidate.
- The candidate is already Black dotted an he/she fails to participate in any on-campus placement recruitment drive (Core/I.T./P.S.U.)
Remark:
The policy is subjected to stage at a later stage at the discretion of the Training & Placement Cell.The Changes made, if any, at a later stage will be notified to all concerned.

- To enlist Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College , in the ‘Definite ‘ list of all top companies of India .
MOU’S WITH INDUSTRY
Tata Consultancy Services has accredited SVEC as B grade Institution. Students recruited by TCS every year are given in-house training as per Memorandum of Understanding to this effect. SVEC has signed an MoU with Infosys Technologies Ltd., Hyderabad, under Infosys Campus Connect Program to train non-IT students. Currently this programme is being organized successfully. SVEC has also signed an MoU with Wipro Technologies, IBM and CompIndia Infotech.
Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, A. Rangampet has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with IBM India Limited on 17.11.2009 which is not only prestigious but also a unique academic initiative in line with their philosophy of corporate social responsibility. Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College is proud of being one among 75 selected Engineering Colleges in India by IBM after attaining the status of IBM – Centre of Excellence. Under the Memorandum of Understanding the College has the privilege of
- Training the faculty and students using IBM Software.
- Orienting and guiding the faculty and students towards free product certification.
- IBM will provide its Technology products and services for training programs in Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College worth more than Rs.2 crore through Worldwide Academic Initiative Portal.
